Chrissy Sievert
Born in Ventura and raised in Bend, Oregon, Executive Pastry Chef Chrissy Sievert has always been inspired by the connection between nature, memory, and nourishment. After discovering her culinary calling, she found her “happy medium” in Sacramento - perfectly situated between her coastal and mountain roots - where she has built her career over the past fifteen years.
Chrissy moved to Sacramento in 2010 to attend culinary school, earning her A.S. in Culinary Arts in 2012. Her pastry career began at Icing on the Cupcake before expanding into some of Northern California’s most respected kitchens, including Grange Restaurant & Bar at the Citizen Hotel, the Golden 1 Center, Silverado Resort & Spa in Napa Valley, Michelin-starred Localis, and innovative creative ventures including The Pour Choice and Ticket Chocolate.
At Golden 1 Center, Chrissy quickly rose through the ranks from Pastry Line Cook to Executive Pastry Chef, overseeing both sweet and savory programs for the arena’s premium clubs and hospitality suites. Across every role, she has developed a style rooted in technical precision, seasonal ingredients, and playful creativity.
At Aiona, Chrissy draws inspiration from the many cultures and cuisines surrounding the Mediterranean, blending global flavors with refined technique and a sense of comfort and familiarity. Her desserts balance sweetness with texture, salt, freshness, creaminess, and acidity - thoughtfully designed to bring a meal to a satisfying and memorable close.
Deeply inspired by Sacramento’s agricultural abundance, Chrissy embraces the changing seasons through fresh herbs, berries, citrus, and stone fruits while continually exploring new ways to reinterpret nostalgic flavors and classic desserts through a modern lens. A lifelong ice cream enthusiast, she believes dessert should evoke delight, spark memory, and leave guests feeling both comforted and inspired.
Outside the kitchen, Chrissy finds inspiration everywhere - from travel and conversations with locals to childhood food memories shared by friends and family. Whether hiking with her dogs, exploring a new city through its food culture, or experimenting with unexpected flavor combinations, she approaches every experience with curiosity, creativity, and heart.
